Title of the talk:
Analysis of selected problems in teaching the basics of mathematical analysis along with proposals for their solutions
Abstract:
Long-term observations show that students’ lack of understanding of the basic existential theorems of differential and integral calculus results from their ignorance of the field of real numbers, both as a specific definable set and its ordinal structure. The gaps in this area in high school are so large that the average student has significant problems with these issues, which significantly makes it difficult to understand proofs from the basics of mathematical analysis.
An analysis of issues related to this will be carried out (according to classical literature) – issues of the approach to axiomatics, model generation will be presented along with an analysis of the consequences of effective teaching for the basic theorems of mathematical analysis.
